Can I publish a book using an own app?

I just wanna know if I can create an app like a library. This library will be mine and I will publish from my own. Is it possible?

I want to do this because I wanna to publish a colletion of books. In this way, I don't want to publish directly in the Apple Store because it will be a little messy.
