I have ipod, I have ipod touch 4th generation and when i plug in to a stereo speaker, the sound only come out from my ipod and not the speaker. However, when i plug in my nano, it does work.
So is there any issue with the setting of my ipod touch?

How are you connecting it to your stero speaker?
the same way you connect to you computer/ or charger. Mine stereo has radio, cd, and there's a "seat" in the front to put your ipod so it suppose to connect to the speaker, but it doesnt 😟
Does the iPod fully seat in the adopter?
Does the car system manufacturer say it will work with your model iPod and its iOS?
Some uses have reported that an iOS update broke compatibility with their car system.
Sometimes this works:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

-idk about that, but i know it works in the car when i plug into the car stereo
