If I buy garageband '11 will I still have garageband '09 on my computer or will it upgrade it and get rid of '09? I want both.
No problem. You just have to rename the GarageBand application (to something like "GarageBand 09") before you install the new version, otherwise it will be overwritten.

By the way, is there anything about Garageband '11 that you like a lot, compared to '09 version? I'm perfectly happy with GB '09--- mostly using and sequencing software instruments. I don't know if GB '11 is really improved that much.
