I have been trying to transfer my music to my new computer. I've tried backing up to an EHD, but only 891 mb out of 763 gb showed up on my new computer. So then I tried importing with Home Sharing, but none of the tuts I've tried work.

I have home sharing on between my two computers. On my old computer it shows 1859 songs and 7.34GB. I went to my new computer, selected the old computer (with the 1859 songs), so now that shows up on the new computer. I clicked on "file, select all" then "import." It briefly showed that it was importing, then stopped and nothing changed on my new computer.
Can you explain what I'm doing wrong?
You may have a network issue, I'm not sure, I usually find the best way to move a library is with an external drive, that way you keep all your play counts etc etc.
