    What are you trying to do? Load photos from a camera?

     

    Connect the Camera Connectn kit to your iPad and use a USB cord to connect your camera. then Turn On the Camera. The iPad should, within a second or so, display thumbnails of the photos on your camera available for download to the pad.

     

    If this doesn't happen disconnect everything from your pad. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

    If you are connecting the camera, use the SD card instead.

    Sorry should have indicated that I am connecting a usb flash drive containing pic images taken in past using a digital camera which upon purchase the Apple store indicated I could.
