Need help with 3rd Party Software Instruments

Hi,

I'm trying out the Logic Express Trial version and can't figure out how to get it to work with my Arturia Arp 2600 software instrument. I tried reinstalling the Arp but the only software instruments that show up are Logic Express and Garage Band. I tried running the Logic AU Manager and it lists the Arp as being valid. So what am I doing wrong?

I think that the Demo version will not permit you to use third party plugins.
There are other limitations too that I don't remember.
Read the files enclosed with the installation.

P.S. about ARP2600, try the TimewARP2600 too, you will be shocked!

Hi,

Thanks but the demo version I got from Apple's site < <a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://">http://www.apple.com/logicexpress/trial/> doesn't come with any documentation other than the built in "Help" system. I did notice that this is version 7.0.1 and maybe that has something to do with it.

Ok after searching the net I found out what I was doing wrong. You have to click and hold on the box under "I/O", after a moment a pop up window appears and I found my Arp under AU. BTW the same thing works for F/X by clicking and holding on the boxes under "Send."
