How do I get my Ipad to stop receiving text messages I receive on my Iphone?

setting>messages>send and receive , click on your apple id listed at the top of the page and choose sign out. This will only stop the iMessages being sent to you by your phone # and not the one sent to your address.

Get a different email address - gmail - just to use for FaceTime and iMessage.

Just makes it sure your iPad does not get iMessages sent to you by your phone number, if you iMessage someone from messages now they will see your email address show up as the contact.

I have the same problem, what's the solution?
