If you are on iOS 6 on your iPad then hiding doesn't currently work on it. You should still be able to hide items via your computer's iTunes

I got same problem here. cant see the hide buttom. it works fine in itunes....

If you are on iOS 6 on that device then it won't appear - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 :
You currently cannot hide purchases on devices using iOS 6
