The Reboot loop and iOS version problem

My iPod went into reboot loop,and I restored it.But I have iOS 6.0.1 now,not 6.Can you downgrade?

iPod touch, iOS 6.0.1

All I can say in this Apple forum is that Apple does not suport downgrading the iOS.
