purchased a lg dvd writer, cd titles and song titles dont come out.h

My dvd driver on my macbook pro isnt working, $200 plus to fix and a couple of weeks.

So I purchased a LG slim portable dvd writer. Problem is that when I load a cd from the writer I get no album title or song titles.

How can I fix this without having to enter every song title manually?
