Blue screen after waking up from sleep?

What happens is I leave it, come back to it after a few hours, open the lid and the computer doesn't start immediately. First it's completely blank for a few seconds, then it turns into a lighter shade of black, then the screen turns a light shade of blue for a few seconds, goes back to black, then finally shows the login screen. Is this something I should be worrying about? Should I take it to an Apple Store or is this normal? I should also mention that once I log in, everything works perfectly. This only happens after I leave it alone for a few hours. It's a 15 inch Retina base model. Bought it at Best Buy on Dec. 28. Also, since I bought it at Best Buy am I still able to take it into the Apple Store for warranty issues? Just something I've always wondered. This is my first Macbook by the way.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Not normal - and even though you pruchased it at Best Buy, don't take it into those idiots for repair. Take it to your local Apple Store. What you describe is not normal - the Apple techs will be able to diagnose the problem and repair if needed.

Good luck,

So I erased the HD after making a TM backup so I could exchange the computer. Out of curiosity I restored from the backup just to see how it would look afterwards. I was amazed that everything was back how I had it, exactly the same. Also realized the screen flash I was talking about earlier was not happening anymore. Seems the erase/restore fixed the issue. I guess it was a software thing. Now I'm deciding whether I should still take it in or not.

I spoke too soon lol it started again. Now I'm just going to wait for this backup to finish (which is taking forever for some reason) and I will erase the HD again. Anyone know how to keep the computer awake while it's reinstalling ML or does it continue to download even though the screen has gone dark? Also, are the backups written over or can I just stop the backup right now and rely on the very first one I made?
