iPhone 5 rear camera not focusing?

I noticed this about a week ago, and chalked it up as just needing a restart. And then today when I had to take a picture of a few friends beside ice scupltures, the camrea would not focus at all. I touched the screen to even focus lock it into place but still didn't work.

So I came home and tried it on a random close by object and it still didn't work.

I have noticed a severe decline in battery life since 6.0.2 but I am unsure what to do. A reload didn't help
