I only get the paintbrush, the wrench, the plus sign, and the full screen button in keynote for ipad

I am using Keynote on an iPad 2. I cannot do anything in Keynote.... Everyone keeps mentioning the "view" option but I have no such choice. I only have the wrench, the plus sign, the paintbrush, and the full screen button...nothing else. On the right side I have presentations and undo.....That's it! I tried to get into portrait mode as someone suggested but I can't do that either. I got this thing specifically for presentations but so far I think I wasted my $ if I have to use Keynote. It is very unfriendly, has limited capability, and is very difficult to navigate. I have been using powerpoint for 12 years without this kind of trouble. If I could get some help I would appreciate it. I think $500.00 was wasted here.

There is no "View" option in Keynote on the iPad. There is a View Menu/Toolbar item in Keynote on the Mac.

I suggest that you view the sample presentation that comes with iPad Keynote to see what you can do and how you can do it.

There is information on using iPad iOS Keynote here: http://www.apple.com/support/ios/keynote/and here http://help.apple.com/keynote/ipad/1.7/
