I need my original purchased Lion Software from app store

Why is it that Apple see fit to remove any previous purchased OS software?

What I mean is I am currently working on the latest Mountain Lion software but have taken delivery of an old white macbook which cannot upgrade to Mountain Lion... Therefore I need the original "Lion" software I purchased through the app store....a few years ago.

Surly they have no right to remove what is rightfuly yours from your purchsed software in the app store no matter what version you are running now...

Any suggestions on where I can get this from (Lion OX)

Lion is only two years old...

Secondly, any purchases you have made within the App or iTunes Store is your copy.

If the older Macbook is on Mac OS X 10.6 or Snow Leopard, you simply go to previous purchases/purchases tab within the Mac App Store and click on download/install.

I believe this OS had a self destruct element after downloading it successfully. I also believe there is a recovery facility. The following link may help but if you are not too tech savvy, approach it with caution. If you have a local Apple store or re-seller, talk to them.

And note this relates to a MB Pro or MacBook air. But it it will show you it is not a simple matter.

Yes I thought that would be the case but it seems 'Easy' is always not the case regarding the app store... See what happened when I tried to download it.... - Contacting Apple as I live in the UK ....I cant see what the problem is myself... Any ideas your end?

If you read the small print, they do have the right.

This is why it's a good thing to backup the installer as well.
