Should I update my new MacBook Pro to Mountain Lion?
I also use an iPhone 4 and iPad and was no sure if these will work with the new software?
My iPhone has iOS 6.1 installed
I would really appreciate any advise.

If you have a new MacBook Pro, probably it has got Mountain Lion. To check it, open > About this Mac, and see Version. If it's 10.8, you have Mountain Lion.

The iPhone and iPad will work fine with the latest Mac software. Usually, you have to consider the opposite - will the latest iPhone software work with an older version of Mac OS X. But in this case, it is fine. The latest 3 major OS versions work with the iPhone and iPad.
