I Got My New Ipod 5th Generation Stolen HELP!!!

You do nort need an app.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police

- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

- Apple will do nothing

That means Find my iPod was not enabled. You cannot track it. Sorry.

The only other way is the sam way to find your stolen purse.

Nope. You can't track it without Wi-Fi and the "Find My iPhone" App.

Should I 'erase ipod' or is that useless?

If it's off line, the Erase command won't work, but you can try it anyway. Should the iPod come back on line - unlikely but not impossible - then the iPod would be erased. That won't stop the thief from using it, just from accessing your data.

Nope. Everything on your iPod will be wiped, so everything will have to be set up again.

No. Once it's erased, all the settings including the Find My iPod settings will be removed.
