2.3 Ghz vs 2.6 Ghz

What is the difference in terms of performance between 2.3 Ghz and 2.6 Ghz processor MacBook Pro Retina ?


Actually I am not able to decide which to buy.I want to use Mac mainly to surf the internet and I am going for the pro version just for the Retina Display.

If you're referring to the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, it's just a small speed difference. In your case, as you are going to use the Mac to browse the web (and you want the Retina display), I recommend you to buy the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, and if money isn't a problem (or the 13-inch display is small), buy the basic 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display.


You don't need more performance on that computer, because with that performance, the MacBook will fly if you are going to use it to browse the web

thanks a lot.But to be precise as you have mentioned in your reply,if I get 2.6 Ghz Model .......will the browsing speed be also fast?

and what about the start up time and other common processing tasks like installing/uninstalling apps,using various apps like iPhoto,iMovie?


What is the 2.6 Ghz model really capable of doing ?

I mean what 2.6 Ghz model can do which 2.3 Ghz can't do ?
