My Logic Studio serial number is not accepted on my new iMac after migrating.

I assume the hardware profile is not matching.

My disks are 6 years old, so trying to install, OSX Lion says it doesn't support PowerPC apps!

What are my options here to remedy?

Appreciate any help!

Your remedy is to upgrade your Logic software to the current version. PPC applications are not supported in Mountain Lion. Logic Studio was replaced with Logic Studio 2 that should work on Intel Macs.

Logic Studio 2 may no longer be available. Instead you may need Logic Studio Pro.

I think you mean "Logic Pro" from the Appstore?

Note to the OP:

with Logic, using Migration Assistant to move things from an old Mac often causes problems. It's generally better to do a fresh install.
