I want to buy a new i mac

I want to buy a new i mac but I do not know whether I should focus my money on spending more on RAM or GHZ? I will mainly be using my new mac to edit videos on i movie, view & edit my photos, browse the internet and play a few newer games like Diablo 3 & starcraft 2. I really don't want to spend more than $2000 on my new computer so I don't know whether to get the 21.5" with 2.7GHZ and upgraded to 16GB of ram with warranty for bout $1900 or go for the 21.5" with 2.9GHZ and only the original 8GB of ram with warranty for about $1900 aswell. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Be advised that the new 21.5" iMacs are not user upgradable so get as much ram as you thnk you'll ever need. The 27" models are still upgradable.

The 21.5 inch iMac with the 2.9 Ghz processor and 16 GBs of RAM will be less the $2000.

Be advised though these new iMacs no longer have a built-in CD/DVD Super Drive.

If you need DVD burning capabilities, you will need to budget and purchase a third party external optical drive.

With three year AppleCare this will run $1900.

Video editing requires a fast CPU and lots of RAM. You will need both!

Well,worth it for 3 years of under warranty service.

Pully,

Load it with as much RAM as possible.

Unless you take it from an i5 to an i7 don't even bother looking at processor upgrade.
