ipod nano 5th generation wheel play/pause does not work

I have restored my ipod nano 5th generation. Problems started with wheel not responding to touch. Then, the ipod would not charge. Message on screen said to connect to computer and restore. I did. Everything functions now except the play/pause on bottom of wheel. Any suggestions? Thank you!
