On battery power? When plugged in? What messages do you get? What EXACTLY is happening?

I hadn't used it in a few weeks. It was plugged in the whole time. Now when I turn it on I might get the apple but then I just see a grey screen. The lights come on the keys but the screen just stays grey.

Power seems fine.
