Is QuickTime7Pro compatible with Mountain Lion Time Machine?

When running QuickTime 7 Pro on my Late 2012 iMac with Mountain Lion 10.8.2. Time Machine immediately pauses backup when QT7Pro is running. When I quit QT7Pro, Time Machine then continues the paused backup after another minute. (I need to run QT7Pro all day to record my security cam, due to the newest version of QT player v.10.2 on Mt. Lion deleting many needed features that were present in QT Player on Lion).

Also, in a related note, QT7Pro totally locks every external hard drive (inlcluding the one Time Machine is backing up to) and will not let me eject ANY external drive until I quit QT7Pro. Yet I am not writing any QT files to any of these external disks!

Tried deleting all QT related preferences, but it didn't help.

What gives?
