I have had a replacement hardrive installed on my iMac. I am now trying to restore the back-up I made previously. When I select the back-up I want and hit restore I get a message "Time Machine" can't be modified or deleted because it is required by MAC OS

Mountain Lion OS was installed at the store after the hard drive had been replaced. I think the problem is there is a backup of Time Machine and when I try and restore everything it won't happen because I am using Time Machine to do the restore, so there is a conflict. I will try and restore everything but Time Machine and see if that works.
