For people who need a ready draft for complaining on the vodafone site mentioned below.....

Vodafone https://www.vodafone.in/existingusers/hns/pages/h2h.aspx?h2hid=r6i97tn8xb8j8sk1

Iphone Imessage not Activating Vodafone Mobile number.

Imessage sends silent international sms to 00447786205094 or 00445773142076 number for activation. All Vodafone Iphone Users are facing this Problem.

Vodafone Mumbai needs to unblock these numbers so Iphone can send silent international sms for ACT

Iphone Imessage activation requires unblocking silent international sms for 00447786205094 or 00445773142076.kindly unblock for all Iphone users to use message and not move to other carriers.

After so much of speaking to vodafone, they replied that its an iphone issue and speak to apple....i showed apple service centre the email....and they shrug and say cant do anything.....

well so i am not willing to give up....and just leave it to fate??....i told them i have 5-6 frinds of mine who r facing the same issue.....and airtel and aircel dont have nano sim cards available anywhere,so how do i try them??....even the service centre had a vodafone nano sim card....

so then finally someone incharge heard my issue ,,which a lot of vodafone iphone users r facing all over india...

he then asked me to mail him formally regarding the same with also name and numbers of other people facing the same issue and on which carrier..

Hi Guys,

While you all are at it, I would like to share my experience. I activated imessage on my iPhone 4. While the activation was uncuccessful, i was still able to imessage other iphone contacts via their apple ids.

When i got my bill this month, i was surprised to see that vodafone has charged me for 22 international smses to 447786205094. These smses were sent literally every day at regular intervals. I called both, apple support and vodafone but they say they have no idea.

I know it sends sms whenever you switch imessage on, but i did it only once and necer touched it since then.

I think my iphone kept trying to authenticate my mobile number to be used in imessage, but since vodafone does not support imessage, it kept failing ( apple support personnel confirmed that vodafone does not support imessage on mobile number).

Any thoughts ?
