i dont this vodafone member is going to do anything other than post that link and say make a complaint....

well i did fill in the above vodafone link.....got a call yesterday from vodafone, explained it to them and they said they shall rectify it within 72 hours.....however i beleive that was just mandatory formal call and they wont end up doing anything.....

i know of 4 people using vodafone mumbai facing the same issue....

also like i said didnt try activating imessage for atleast 24 hours(i waited 36).but no luck this time just says waiting for acivation.....so that didnt help.....

after a lot of google,i realized a lot of people say imessage and facetime send a silent international sms to +447786205094 and not the number i mentioned(which was posted by a guy and he said he found out the number personally from contacts in docomo)

i think whatsapp and viber also use a similar method to activate ur number....

well if anyone can find out the silent sms number where apple sends for activation, then pls let us know....

u can contact me for any queries and help

    thanks

I am in touch with apple india and they are saying the issue is with vodafone and there is some broradband capacity issue.

Vodafone is not offically tied up with apple so they are facing this issue, as of now there is no solution for this.

best bet is to PORT your number to airtel.

For people who need a ready draft for complaining on the vodafone site mentioned below.....

    Vodafone    https://www.vodafone.in/existingusers/hns/pages/h2h.aspx?h2hid=r6i97tn8xb8j8sk1

Iphone Imessage not Activating Vodafone Mobile number.

Imessage sends silent international sms to 00447786205094 or 00445773142076 number for activation. All Vodafone Iphone Users are facing this Problem.

Vodafone Mumbai needs to unblock these numbers so Iphone can send silent international sms for ACT

Iphone Imessage activation requires unblocking silent international sms for 00447786205094 or 00445773142076.kindly unblock for all Iphone users to use message and not move to other carriers.

I just spoke with vodafone and they told me that there could be a possiblity that the numbers are barred if you have the DND service activated on your number. They suggested I try deactivating it and then try again.

    So, fingers crossed.

No reply yet from Vodafone India after 72 hours promise. I'm guessing it's the same for everyone.

After so much of speaking to vodafone, they replied that its an iphone issue and speak to apple....i showed apple service centre the email....and they shrug and say cant do anything.....

well so i am not willing to give up....and just leave it to fate??....i told them i have 5-6 frinds of mine who r facing the same issue.....and airtel and aircel dont have nano sim cards available anywhere,so how do i try them??....even the service centre had a vodafone nano sim card....

so then finally someone incharge heard my issue ,,which a lot of vodafone iphone users r facing all over india...

he then asked me to mail him formally regarding the same with also name and numbers of other people facing the same issue and on which carrier..

I've sent an email to BGR India stating that Vodafone India is no longer supporting iMessage and FaceTime. Hope they can publish this on their web site and warn future buyers.
