Active Directory Plugin Error

Hello Community,

first of all sorry the system language is german. so i'll translate them on the fly..

i'm running OS 10.8.2 and try to connect to Windows 2008 AD.

When going Preferences -> User & Groups -> Loginoptions -> Join -> Directory Services -> Active Directory.

Enter the Active Directory-Domain and do connect with AD-User and Password i get some "Error in plugin while processing" with code "10001"

Error Console shows

21.01.13 14:09:02,678 System Preferences[209]: -[ODCAddServerSheetController handleOtherActionError: gotError: Error Domain=com.apple.OpenDirectory Code=10001 "Beim Verarbeiten einer Anfrage ist im Plug-In ein Fehler aufgetreten." And Directory Service cpu usage goes up to 100%

is that a bug i could fix somehow? or do i have to wait for updates? I reinstalled fresh system already and don't have a clue 😟

Thanks for the reply johnl927.

I got the solution now by our system admin.

DNS was okay but he told me there was already an element for the mac with the same name in AD so it couldn't create a new one while binding.

A few days ago I forced my mac to separate from AD because I got the message "No network accounts available". AD was connected after local login it maybe was a time drift problem .. don't know. I left the object in there.

Anyway when we removed the element from AD binding worked well. I just wonder why i only got an "Error in plugin" message while trying. Nether the error console nor the message window gave my any hint what the real problem has been...

Thanks!
