Retail Store and Online Store???

Hi,

When buying an iMac or MacBook in the Apple Online, you are first offered a Mac with the "standard" specifications and you can choose to upgrade parts.

Are those upgraded Macs available in all Apple retail stores too? Or just the "standard" version.

Regards.

some common upgraded models are available sometimes (e.g. MacBook Air with 8GB RAM) however not guaranteed

less common models (e.g. MacBook Air with max processor and lowest hard drive) you will probably need to buy online

The standard configurations are available at the stores - some popular upgrade models will be available in some stores but basically if you want an upgraded model you normally wind up ordering it online or custom ordering it at an Apple Authorized dealer. You an also order online and have delivery made to an Apple store for pickup.

Thanks, dwb.

Very helpful to know it can be collected at a retail store.

Can a person who is not not normally a resident in a country use that countries online store?
