is clicktoflash is safe to install to MBP Lion 10.7.2 ?

Need help.. is clicktoflash is safe to install in safari extension (safari 5.1). i have installed flash player on my MBP, but i'm planning to remove it to my MBP and change to clicktoflash. is this a better idea?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

To upgrade from 10.7.2 you'll need the Combo updater.


ClickToFlash, just to make sure it's clear, is not a substitue for Flash Player. What ClickToFlash, or it's more versatile sibling ClickToPlugin, does is just to prevent the plugin that plays such content from loading automatically in your web browser. This allows you to play such content only when you wish it to play. You still need Flash Player, et. al. on your system to play the content.
