imovie 11 problem

iMovie does not respond in normal mode.

If I start the machine in safe mode than it works.

It seems to be a compatibility problem.

I've thrown everything out of login items. I've thrown preference files out. I've even run Techtool Pro 6.

I'm running OS Lion on a MAC Pro.

Help.
