How do you get a refund for an accidental purchase?

did anyone made a wrong order through apple ecommerce education store?
I'm a college student/ I was trying to purchase imac through my school's student store.
but this was my first time using it, I didn't know that school had to fund me for these orders.
When I first registered for education ecommerce store I was asked to pick a role.
I chose proposer(not a purchaser) and I placed a proposal and there was 'Add to cart' option was available for me.
I just added it to cart and checked out(using my personal credit card) and paid $1319 for myself.
and few days later I realized that I placed the wrong order and tried to get a refund.
but when I spoke representatives from Apple, they all said that they didn't charge me.
I emailed SSO help and they said they will forward my request to Apple accounts receivable team.
Did anyone have a similar experience with me and get a refund?
