Viber on UAE with VPN

Hi guys,

Is possble to use a VPN to activate the viber on the UAE and than just use it with the "normal" internet on the country?

Or it will be block even after the activation?

Are anyone using viber on the UAE?

Cheers.

Hi,

This is an official representative of Viber Media.

The authorities in UAE have decided to block Viber in the whole country, and that is why you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help 😟

You may try contacting the authorities and ask for the reason for this block.

Alternately, we have heard from some of our users in the UAE that they are using a VPN connection. For more details, google it and find more people in the UAE who will guide you how to do it, or check out this link: http://talkfree7.blogspot.com/2011/01/voip-blocked-try-viber-uae-free-call.html

Hi ViberTeam.

I have a question for you guys. I'm now using Viber for BlackBerry but I just bought and iPhone. I was wondering if there's a way I can transfer my messages from my curent phone into my new iPhone (once I get it) I have important messages there that I would like to have in my new phone. I hope you can help me with this and if this is not possible is there a possible way that I can transfer them to my computer? I really hope there is a way. 😟

Thank you for your support.

At this stage, one Viber number can be assigned with only one device simultaneously. When you try registering to Viber with the same number on a second device, the first device immediately deactivates, and its data (message history, Recents, etc.) is deleted.

What you can do, however, is register your second device with a different number: your home number, an old cellphone number, family's or friends.

In future versions we are planning to add an option to register Viber on multiple devices. Once we have news on that, we'll let you know 🙂
