This issue is driving me crazy. I am running Logic 9.1.8 with OSX 10.6.8. I am working logic in 64bit on a macpro 2,1 so I cannot run any higher OS. I have to save then I can quit logic. This seems crazy to me. I have 12gb of ram and 2 tb internal drive. My machine is a dual 3 ghz intel core. Does anybody know why this is happening.

By "Have to save' do you mean a dialog box comes up asking you to save everytime you go to quit Logic or a project?
If so, that is normal behavior with Logic now... Any change, no matter how small, requires a save.. (and in many cases what's changed is hard to work out!) No way around it....
Is this related to your question... maybe you phrased it wrong. Perhaps it's "Logic Quits when trying to save?" (Or Not)

If that's the case, follow the instructions exactly, delete no more than it says.
I wish. No box comes up. If I try to quit it just does nothing. Once I go to file and save then I can go and quit logic. So no normal behavior. Thanks for posting if you have a solve let me know.
