Restore using Time Machine back to before you installed Mountain Lion. It may be easier just to resolve the problem. Did you verify and repair your disk if needed and repair permissions using Disk Utility?

Hi cbs20,

Thanks for replying..

Yep I have repaired the disk....and done something called a PRAM and SMC but I found that I don't have enough memory as I've only 2GB but I've ordered more RAM......so I told myself to be patience until the RAM arrived but my printer just wont work with the upgrade...I've tried downloading the most recent driver software but it just wont work...

Just says that printer is offline...

So at the moment I am not seeing any benefits at all to having ML so I want it gone!

But.....how do I do that :-)

I would recommend waiting for the memory. Apple says the minimum is 2GB, but ppl on here believe the minimum should be 4GB. Go to printers in System Preferences and remove your printer and then attach the printer via USB and click the "+" to add your printer again to the system. Sometimes things get messed up on upgrades and you may even need to go to the printer manufacturers website and download the latest drivers.
