My iPod is messed up. Please Help!

Uhmm, I noticed it yesterday, my iPod paused two of the songs I was playing even though I'm sure no one pressed the button cuz it was in a case. On the second time it paused the song, it froze. Then going to sleep last night, I listened to it while charging it. This morning, I noticed that it was frozen again and when I try to plug it in a power source, it shows a sad face. Then I tried plugging it in the computer and it cycles the Apple logo, then sad face, then the battery/thunderbolt thing. I dont know what to do and how can it show the batter thunderbolt when i had it charging all night. Thanks

Well for your iPod pausing sometimes i've noticed with mine when the headphone cord is bent and has taken wear the iPod will sometimes think that's it's not plugged in and will automatically pause. And for the ipod sad face you will need to re-install the firmware and an easy way to do that when it doesn't show up on your computers dektop is to put your iPod into disc mode http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651 and then re-install the firmware. I don't know about the battery problem it might be linked with this and if it doesn't solve it then you might have to take your iPod in and get it fixed.
