Q: After using Duplicate Annihilator my iPhoto asked to repair library after repairing photos it triplicated my library!  Please help!!

Restore the library from the backup you made before wrecking it.

What backups do you have?

You seem to have restored from a snapshot that already had the extra images. Try an older one.

Do you remember when you started the process that led to the problem? It would have been on Jan. 16 or before, according to your first message. Are you restoring from a snapshot older than that?

I've never heard of the application you used and I don't know what it does, but there's no way it could have affected a backup made before you ran it.

Did you try to rebuild the library?

Time Machine doesn't fully back up the iPhoto library when iPhoto is running. Maybe that's your problem. Do you leave iPhoto open all the time? If not, would it be open at, say, 3 AM? Try a snapshot from a couple of weeks ago at a time when iPhoto wasn't running.

Go to your Iphoto and locate the "search" field. Search for photos "duplicate". By default the found duplicates will have their comments/field st to duplicate. That's what Annihilator does. Then you can send them all to trash.
