how to download internet explorer

You cannot unless you have a very old version of Mac OS X (10.5 or earlier to be exact). There has been no Internet Explorer developed for Mac for a decade, I believe. Why would you want that particular browser?

Probably because there's a ton of website that require IE to run properly.

That said, unfortunately all you can do is run Windows in a VM environment like Parallels or VMWare Fusion to get your IE fix on. Sorry.

^^^ Wine doesn't play well with IE7 or higher. IE6 is pretty much useless for anything on the web by today's standard... especially stuff on websites that particularly call for the use of IE. I don't think it's a good suggestion to follow that site.
