Synching Ipod with iTunes error Audio File not supported?

Hi,

Just tried synching my iPod Classic in Itunes and received a notification that 6 songs have not been copied to my iPod "because the audio files are not supported by iPod."

The audio files are: AAC

Can anyone help me as to how I rectify this problem please?
