I started getting the same error today -- weird -- never had any problems before........
I see alot of people have the same questions.....Does anyone have an answer???
I started having this problem this week. Yesterday I couldn't log in and received the same error message. Now I can log in, although it is very slow, but when I try to look at (click on) Contacts or Calendar, it does nothing and eventually errors out.
However, changes or additions to PhotoStream, Contacts, or Calendars made on any of my PCs or iPad do in fact show up on all of the others. So, iCloud appears to be working for sharing information, I just can't gain access to things like Contacts or Calendar on the iCloud Website.
Seems like every epiphany I have for getting it working leads nowhere!
Hi, I to have started having these problems!! Any idea's yet on how to solve them??
Well, I don't know how to fix the iCloud problems when using IE9, they still exist, but after reading about the same problems folks were having last year, one of the solutions was installing Safari for Windows. I didn't want to do this, but figured I would see if it was painless. I found the Sarari download (version 5.1.7) on the Apple Support website, downloaded it, and installed in on my Windows 7 Pro PC.
It works, iCloud opened relatively fast, I logged in, and was able to open all of the Apps (Contacts, Calendars, etc.). I then set Safari to use iCloud as its Homepage. I still have IE9 as my default browser, but I will experiment with Safari when time permits. For now it will be my access to iCloud.
I suspect Apple recently changed some or all of the scripts that run on the iCloud website and they aren't compatible with IE9, perhaps other browsers. Maybe they will eventually fix this!!!!!!!
Hope this helps.
I've got same issue, too. Cannot get it to sign in using IE9. The weird thing is, that since I've been getting the error (for about 2-3 weeks now), it seems like its just an intermittent problem for me. There are some days that it does sign me into iCloud using this browser, but other days it doesn't.
PS --- Just to clarify, I have also tried Safari for Windows (several times now)...but turns out it is way too slow, hogs most of the CPU capacity, freezes often, and ends up slowing everything else on my PC down as well...so I just now ended up uninstalling it from my laptop, and I'm not likely going to download it ever again.
Just my 2 cents...

After spending an hour and a half on the phone with Apple Support, Apple discovered that the problem was with some of their servers being down. They use different servers for iMAC and ios devices because they connect differently. Anyway, problem now fixed and working fine.
I have the same problem and am running IE9 on Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It seems to be an intermittentant problem on all three machines, but I can still access contacts, mail, calendar etc. through icloud on my Apple devices. Strange that your problem has cleared up, but mine still persists......any thoughts?
Well, actually it seems that the problem did clear up for a few days, but as of just a little while ago today it started up again. The issue only affects Windows stuff (i.e. --- my laptop which is running Vista).
But it doesn't seem to be affecting Apple devices, though.
After a little more troubleshooting, it appears, in my case, a recent update to Norton Internet Security might be causing my problem. Temporarily disabling "Browser Protection" under Advanced, Settings, Web allowed the 32 Bit version of IE 9 to work flawlessly with iCloud. I sent a report to Symantec about the issue and also posted my findings in their Community Forum.
For me, Safari and IE9 64-bit work fine, fast and no issues; and I believe that is because neither have Norton Internet Security (NIS) as an add-on. IE9 32-bit, which does have NIS as an add-on, does have problems unless NIS "Browser Protection" is disabled before accessing iCloud.
I'll keep using Safari or IE9 64-bit to access iCloud until Apple, Microsoft, or Norton correct whatever is causing Norton Internet Security to interfere with iCloud working properly.
Those that are having problems when using IE9 32-bit should look at their Internet Security software, even if it isn't NIS.
Welllll.... I've had this problem off and on for a month now. Sometimes if I close my browser IE9 64bit and try again iCloud then opens. Other times no joy. Sometimes the cloud will open but I can't access mail. Intermittent problems drive me nuts!
I don't have NIS, bad experience with them after several years of a good relationship so now I use Windows Security Essentials for about a year now.
I guess I will try Safari for Windows. Wish me luck and thanks for the info.
Thanks for the help. I am running 64 bit IE 9 on all machines and when I disabled NIS "Browser Protection" Calendar worked perfectly on all Windows versions (Vista, win7 & Win 8). Hopefully this stabilizes the application.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still having issues signing into my icloud email account using IE9. This is getting very old and frustrating. Actually, I CAN sign in, but it just refuses to retreive my mail ðŸ˜
Louis8ball; IE9 32-bit appears to be one of the browsers that can't either sign in (sporadic) or launch (never) Apps in iCloud. In my case, disabling "Browser Protection" in Norton Internet Security allows the 32-bit version of IE9 (Windows default browser) to work with iCloud. So, one of the add-on to IE9 in your system is causing the problem, perhaps whatever browser protection you are using.
However, as mentioned before, using the 64-bit version of IE9 (it can't be set as the default browser in Windows 7) works with iCloud without any problems and it appears that is because, in my case, NIS doesn't integrate with it, but does provide protection with downloads.
I noted that you had other problems with Safari, but Safari works fine for me, no ancillary issues and it is my primary access to iCloud.
Hope you find something that works for you; you might try launching the 64-bit version of IE9 and navigate to iCloud.com from the address bar or, as a test with IE9 32-bit, disable any browser protection you are running just prior to going to iCloud.com.
I am having the same issue of not being able to retrive my mail from my icloud.com but on my iphone works just fine. It is very frustrating!! Does anyone know how to correct this is?
I am using IE on Windows 8 and yesteday I had no issues at all? Please help!!
