Q: Did all of the above and still unable to restore the iPod

iPod Classic, 160gb "thick", scroll wheel.

 

Got either "corrupted firmware", "unabled to unmount" or "1430" errors.

Disk utility wouldn't complete the repair. Tried on different users. Even after hard reset.

 

Apple? Anyone?
