why does my portable ipod charger work on a ipod classic and not my ipod touch 4gen ios 6.1 all of my other charger charge my ipod touch

What is the output of the charger (volts and mA)?
The early Classic iPods used FireWire (12 volts) for charging while the i{Pod touch uses USB voltage (5 v nominal)

it worked on my ipod touch last week but it not working on my ipod touch anymore
any idear

Could it be a bad cable?
Does you iPod charge/sync with yur cmputer?
