OS update error

hii..m using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4....i upgraded my i photos after a notification of an update...i just had two options, of upgrading or quitting..the version i had didnt open in any way...so i finally upgraded...d process however took quite long but after the installation the iphotos dint open..it says that you cant use this version of the application iphoto with this version of mac OS X.

Therefore, i updated my OS to 10.7.5 but it says that the update could not be saved..what is the solution??
