Accolades not working

Hi everyone

I'm stuck with a really annoying problem: some shortkeys on my MacBook Pro aren't working anymore. The most irritating one is Option-(, this should give me a left accolade "{". The weird thing is that Option-) in fact does give a right accolade "}", but the left one doesn't. Very annoying for using LaTeX and programming languages. The other dead shortkeys are Option-", Option-', Option-§. I'm using Dutch settings.

I've made a workaround, when I type "(())" this is automatically replaced by "{}", but this is very unsatisfactory sincs it's slow and it's not even working everywhere.

Help is greatly appreciated.
