HI,

Just to be clear.

Messages is the App name. iMessages is the new part (Compared to iChat) that has been added to communicate with iOS devices using Apple IDs and iPhone Numbers and is an "Account" within the Messages App.

You are showing us a Picture of a Buddy list (The iChat Style Account type in Messages).

This means you are not using a Google Mail ID that happens to be your Apple ID as the iMessages account name. You have been clear you are using as a Jabber Client.

Can you login to Google Mail via a Web Browser and text chat from there ?

Do you use this ID in the Mail App and does it work there ?

Ok, iMessages is working fine (I can communicate with iOS devices).

The problem is that my google talk account is not working with Message (the app). I can chat via a web browser, and I'm using the mail app for this account and it's working well.

I communicated well with my google talk account in the Messages app the fist two months, but suddenly it stops working.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

That does seem odd that a Web Browser can Login but Messages app cannot.

You are not trying both at the same time are you ?

In earlier version of iChat the Jabber priority could not be set and the default rating actually matched a Web Browser login which in turn booted the earlier Login Off line ignores the previous login and no messages arrive there.

I have heard of people having issues (mainly with Mail) about a sort of double Password set up on their Google accounts. (I am not sure of the phrase they use and couldn't find it ins quick look at my Google settings)

HI,

I did not realise Sleep was involved.

This is a sort of "known Issue" where the Mac can restart up apps faster than it can re-establish the Internet and other network connections

It has been seen is several version of iChat.
