I have read all the info re FaceTime but cannot even get started because I do not have face time in settings on my iPhone 4 . My husband and sons is the same . Any ideas ?
I am sure it is something silly I have missed

Facetime has been banned in some countries, UAE, middle east..

I am on manchester uk and phone came from orange
Go to your Contacts app, and connecting via Facetime is one of the options at the bottom of any contract entry.
Also via your Phone app -> Contacts
