How do I stop my Ipad 2 from rotating

I hate the fact that the screen keeps rotating on its own every direction I turn it in and I want to disable that feature. Could someone please tell me how to stop this tablet from rotating.

1. Settings>General>Set Side Swith To: Rotation Lock

2. Use Side Switch to lock rotation

Try using the side switch above the volume button on the right side of the iPad. If that doesn't work, double tap the home button, swipe all the way to the right and tap on the lock icon on the left.

When you can see the padlock icon at the top of the screen by the battery indicator, you will know that the screen is locked.
