i´ve tried doing it by going into system preferences -->> display, and then I was suppose to choose appleTV from the menu ther, but appleTV does not show in that menu, or any other menu for that matter...can someone PLEASE help me?!

1. Open App Store, make a backup, and purchase and upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, so the AirPlay icon will appear on the menu bar.
2. Install AirParrot to stream the computer onto your Apple TV > http://www.airparrot.com
