So, recently, my little sister has lost her iPod touch, we just found it and the home button is broken and she doesnt remember the passcod, it has been disabled for a while. Is there anything we could do since we can't bypass the passcode using the home button and power/lock button?

That did not work either, so i downloaded an itunes zip file, and placed it inside the file with the recboot in it, it works, then all it says is its entering recovery mode, how long would it take?
It takes little time to get the iPod in recovery mode. Now just try restoring via iTunes. iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
a page opens up and says "No Error" and nothing on iTunes comes up about it
Does the iPod appear under Devices (in the left sidebar) in iTunes
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
It's not there

- Then try again.
home button is broke, or i would bypass the passcode for itunes that way

Try recovery mode with:

After that let the battery fully drain and try again.
I already have that and i keep getting
"The JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution."
Did you try disabling the computer's firewall and antivirus?
I turned off the firewall and tried it again, still pulled up the same thing
