Can't see the bonjour printer in the printer list but if I turn wi-fi off, I see the printer in the list briefly before it goes away.

I am trying to add a printer; after clicking "add printer," the list is blank. But if I turn off wi-fi, I see the bonjour printer for a moment (along with other printers on the network) and then (of course) the list is blank. When I turn on wi-fi, same thing - there and gone! And the list is blank. Printer works fine with USB connection. I am running 10.8.2
