Have you tried to reset the iPod?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Yes I've tried but my on/off button is stuck/broken. So I don't know what else to do.
Just let it die and then power it back up
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Where is says to use recovery mode use this program to place the iPod in recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
