I uploaded a tv show from iTunes and transferred to a DVD. Why can't I watch this DVD from my DVD player connected to my tv

I bought a tv show from iTunes and transferred the show to a DVD. The DVD plays on my Mac but Is there any thing I can do to be able to watch the DVD on my DVD player connected to my tv.

Becasue this is not allowed by the movie industry.

They are protected by DRM so that you cannot do this.
